Several small sculptures were created based on the exterior steel forms of Parameters.Perimeters. (the artist’s earlier major touring exhibition), but each was created with its own individual meaning.
Cased Shadow
1979

Cased Shadow features a bronze hanging figure enhanced by extensions of charred paper.
Memory
1979 – 1984

Wyrick attached importance to the letters “er” being the end of so many family words such as “mother,” “father,” “sister,” “brother,” “daughter,” etc. when by chance she found a glass chard with the letters “ER” on it. She decided to suspend it in one of the steel forms and named the sculpture Memory.

Each sculpture in this group ranges from being a story to being a contained natural form, to being an
abstraction. Poor Butterfly is an example of a natural form captured in glass and bronze and Shadow Icon also in glass and bronze is shown as an icon, resembling a Cycladic figure.
